Bangladesh Approvals
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC),
an independent Commission established under the Bangladesh
Telecommunication Act, 2001(Act no. 18 2001) published by the
Parliament in the Bangladesh Gazette, extraordinary issue of April 16,
2001, issues approvals for Wireless & Telecommunication products.
Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI),
operates as a body corporate incorporated under the “The Bangladesh
Standards and Testing Institution Ordinance, No. XXXVII of 1985”. BSTI
prepares Standards for all articles, products, methods and services.
Drawing power from
Special Regulatory order named BSTI Regulation 1989, BSTI regulates
Compulsory Certification marking for any product after approval of the
Government. The BSTI marks cannot be used without approval in advance
form BSTI.
Sri Lankan Approvals
Sri Lanka Telecommunications Authority
The
Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL)
established under the Sri Lanka Telecommunication (Amendment) Act No.
27 of 1996 is the national regulatory agency for telecommunications.
TRCSL promotes sustained development in the telecommunication industry
using the regulatory process for protecting public interest.
Pakistan Approvals
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)
regulates the establishment, operation and maintenance of
telecommunication systems and provision of telecommunication services
in Pakistan. It ensures the availability of a wide range of high
quality, efficient, cost effective, competitive telecommunication
services in Pakistan and promotion of telecommunication systems and
services.
Nepal Approvals
Nepal Telecommunication Authority,
an autonomous body established Feb 1998 in accordance with
Telecommunications Act, 1997 and Telecommunications Regulation, 1998
with an objective to create a favourable and competitive environment
for the development, expansion and operation of telecommunication
services with the private sector participation in the kingdom of Nepal.
