STQC:
Standardisation,

an attached office under the Department of Information Technology,
Government of India. STQC

Schemes as per IEC / CISPR Standards for Electronics Products and

STQC
is a National Certification Body under the IECEE-CB
Scheme in electronics & IT segments. It also tests and certifies

Certification is based on testing at STQC
Labs
with factory inspection of manufacturing facilities on annual basis
by STQC
Engineers. Local Representation of the Applicant is preferred.

BIS:
The Bureau
of Indian Standards (BIS), an
Autonomous Institution under Ministry of Consumer Affairs,
empowered through a legislative Act of the Indian Parliament, known
as the Bureau
of Indian Standards Act, 1986,
operates a product certification scheme, and has granted more than
30,000 licenses to manufacturers covering practically every
industrial discipline from Agriculture to Textiles to Electronics.
The certification allows the licensees to use the popular ISI
Mark,
which has become synonymous with Quality products for the Indian and
neighbouring markets over decades.
BIS
is a National Certification Body under the IECEE-CB
Scheme primarily in electrical components sector. BIS
Certifications yield to License from the Bureau for manufacturing
goods and using ISI Mark on them. ISI Mark
is well known in India. Administration of Certification is based on
testing at BIS Approved Labs with factory inspection of manufacturing
facilities on annual basis by BIS Engineers. Local Representation of
the Applicant is mandatory.

TEC
Approvals: Telecom
Engineering Centre
under Department
of Telecommunications
imparts TEC
Approvals
for Telecom Equipment requiring connection to public networks or
interface with them. Standards followed are drafted by TEC
but are generally adopted International standards. Visit to
manufacturer premises is required as a part of approval process.
Local Representative of the manufacturer is mandatory.

WPC:
Wireless
and Planning Commission (WPC): WPC
controls the Wireless/ RFID approval in India. It grants
Approvals/ Licenses on the basis of EMC
compliance. For import and use of wireless devices in India WPC
Approval/ License is a mandatory requirement. Local representation
becomes compulsory as WPC Approvals/ Licenses are granted in the name
of an India Company only.
DGMS:
Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), with its headquarter at
Dhanbad - India, administers the activities of safety, welfare, and
health of workers employed in mines under the objectives regulated by
Mines Act 1952.
Empowered by Coal Mines
Regulations, 1957; Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961; Oil Mines
Regulations, 1984; Indian Electricity Rules, 1956 & Mines Rescue
Rules, 1985: DGMS issues statutory notifications calling for
mandatory compliance of Equipment to be used in Mines etc. to
relevant standards.
The
equipment, machinery, tools and materials used in mines need to be
safe, robust and reliable capable of working safely under hostile
